Sharing This Devotional From Pastor Les

Daily Devotional - Monday, 5/11/2009
Good Morning,

The thrilling Bible utters, “Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” – Prov. 16:3.

Is it possible that one can commit one’s plans to God and he will establish them? The answer for today is YES! It is because we commit the plans to do a certain project and they are indeed the works of God. It is similar to Psalm 37:4-5 where it states that God is willing to give us the desires of our heart.

However, there is a condition to these promises of God. The condition is to delight oneself in the Lord. If I delight myself in the Lord, God will give me the desires of my heart. If I commit the plans that I have asked God to give to me and they are the works of what He wants to do through me, He will make sure that they get done.

When we set our affections on delighting ourselves in the Lord, we will only want to do His good will and pleasure. We shall not be disappointed when some of our plans do not get done. Why? It is because anything that happens whether good or bad, done or not done, will be done to glorify HIM and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28).

My question to you is, “What kind of plans are you making in your life?” All of us make plans for tomorrow. Some of us make plans that are just about tomorrow’s shopping excursions, some for the week’s activities, and some for extended periods of time. No matter to what extent of our plans, the question is, “Are you allowing God to be involved in your plans at all times?” Are you seeking His face before you make the plans and are you seeking His wisdom before you write them down?

God is interesting in the plans that you make and wants to be in charge of your life (Rom. 12:1-2), but it up to you to allow God to take the steering wheel of your life and lead you forward. When He is in charge there will be no disappointments. Why? It is because everything that comes into our life is from the hand of God. He has purpose for that event. We must look for His fingerprint in the activity.

So, plan with His purposes and desires in your mind. You will find that you will be overjoyed with life every day that you live. I love living that way. Try it, you might love it too!!!

In His love,

Pastor Les ( I love this one Pastor Les , thanks so much ....)
