Reason, Season or Lifetime.....?

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a life time.... When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..... When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a god send and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.... Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.....

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME, relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant....

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.....i love these words and thoughts.. makes me stop to think about all the people in my life now and the ones that i crossed paths with...i wonder why sometimes and miss many of the friends that are not for a life time....but still love them anyways and feel blessed to have had them in my life.... even if it was for a short time....i too feel you are blessed wtih something from everyone that crosses your path.....

Smiles in Guatemala......:o)

Besides sending money to Guatemala to help the very poor families through my friend Rosa, i started sending her a big box 2 x's a year (summer and for Christmas) with toys, clothes, shoes, etc.... and she shares the things in the box with families that desperately are in need and with the children who have no toys...She just recieved my box and gave the items away to many families and sent me a picture of these 2 beautiful girls and i spoke with her the other day and she said this family is very poor and they have never had a toys before...these smiles are price less. Theses Dora dolls were my daughters and they help me fill the boxes with their things they want to give.....i was thrilled to get this note from Rosa:

Hi Doreen, thank you for the box you sent. I was very happy giving the things to the children and the children were very happy receiving the toys, the cloth, the food...I think the pictures demostrate how much they enjoyed it.I gave some other things, like the toy of the little mermaid and the toy of the potatoe, to the school I'm working on because there more children can use it. I will send you some pictures of them other day. It was good to share all this happy momments with this persons. Thank you again!Hugs: Rosapictures and this note from Rosa:

PLEASE PRAY for ABBY...

A prayer request for Abby from her parents.......Tonight is one of those nights where I am up late thinking about Abby. In a few hours I will be taking Abby to the cancer clinic for more procedures and chemo. Abby knows she will be going, and is not looking forward to it. She only wanted to know if she was go to get a poke in her back (spinal tap). I wish I could have told her no, but unfortunately it that time again.

After her spinal (lumbar puncture), Abby will be getting a IV antibiotic. The scariest moments for me, in the last year, been when Abby had an allergic reaction to antibiotics and her airway swelled (anaphylactic shock). This has happened twice, with two different antibiotics. One time it happened the first time they gave her the medication, but the other time it happened after she had already had several doses of the antibiotic. I pray Abby is not allergic to this antibiotic, too. It would mean a lot to me if you would pray for Abby today. Would you pray that: 1. Abby is not scared before the procedures start and that she is well sedated for the spinal. 2. Abby's brain is protected from any damage that would make it hard for her to learn. 3. Abby would not have any allergic reactions to medications. 4. Abby's spinal fluid and blood would be free of any cancer cells. 5. Wisdom for the doctors as they make decisions about the amount of chemo to give Abby. Last week Abby's white blood cell count was VERY high for someone on chemo (4000 ANC). They want it to be much lower to give Abby the best chance at remaining cancer free.

Happy 6th Birthday Bella......... wow... it is hard to beleive that beautiful Anabella is 6 years old already .....Bella was born in Mixco Guatemala and lived at Eagles Nest orphanage for 13 months, Bella came forever home at 14 months . Bella was not able to sit up at 14 months when she came home, she was so weak and fragile. .. She is such a strong little girl and strong willed.. she was crawling by 16 months and with a lot of hard work walking by 18 months. She has come a long way in such a short time..She is an amazing little girl and has learned so much and did so well in pre-school this past year , Anabella will begin kindergarten next month with a great head start... She loves dressing like a princess and is a fashion girl who loves to wear pink and dresses and do her own hair.....Bella celebrated her birthday today with her 3 sisters and friend Izzy at a wonderful hotel water park. We had pizza, cheetos, and a pink princess birthday cake. A water slide and lazy river was the perfect way to spend the day... We love you Princess Bella and we are very proud of you...
