Desert Botanical Gardens...

Gabi and her class went to the Desert Botanical Gardens, one of the worlds best gardens..... you can see more than 20,000 specimens in this garden . The cactus collection is world-renowned, with more than 1,300 examples. I volunteered to help on this field trip with the kids , it was cloudy ,rainy and a little chilly but everyone had fun and learned a little something about our beautiful desert.

Super Bowl & A Bouncy House...

The girls , their friend Ira, our friend Boyd and i , spent pre-super bowl day at our friends Mike's house. Mike is probably one of very few men who would put up a bouncy house for a super bowl party....!!:o) The girls had a great time !!! We left right before the game started... but i did get to have a few drinks and watch the last quarter when the New Orleans Saints became Super Bowl XLIV champions for the first time in their 43 - year history at the amazing Phoenician Hotel with my friends Karen and Amy... it was a great day!!
